Roxy: Chapter II

The hype around the news that a black hole was discovered in our solar system lasted no more than three quarters of a day. It was a clickbait at best. Then began the earthquake, the longest lasting and the widest scale noticeably coarse earthquake that has ever been recorded in the history of mankind, around 3.8 in magnitude, three days in duration, global in nature. These three days were later referred to as the shook nook.

On the second day of the shook nook, buildings started collapsing. By the end of the third day, there were no more historic old towns, and there were no more slums, instead piles of debris that could not be differentiated from another. The nature of the collapses resembled a piece of glass that was shaped into a rock following an ongoing exposure to gentle strokes of water over longer periods of time. It was a gentle earthquake. Some people died on the second day of the shook nook and continued to do so on the third day despite efforts for evacuation.

A sudden invasive sharpness dominates the nerve endings near the small toe that’s felt on one’s shoulders and neck, making its way to the universally accepted spot between the eyes, caressing the brows when a headache is in question. The deaths have been a case of a Lego drawn to mischief over order, at best.
